A fine and funky wedding – Part Two

Continuing where we left off with Kim and Chris’ gorgeous wedding here are a few more pictures from Karen McGowran and details…

The catering was by Danby Castle’s caterer Lisa Grainger and sounds absoloutely delicious: 5 different types of canapes (which the bride didn’t even get a chance to nibble on!), a hog roast with freshly baked bread, roast potatoes, stuffing, apple sauce, nut roast and three different types of salad. Dessert was chocolate torte with raspberries (yum yes please!) and an ice cream van! In the evening there was a fish and chips van and local port pies and cheeses – wow those guests must have had big bellies the next day! Sounds absoloutely yummy!

The cake was by Kelly-Ann cakes, another vendor met whilst at a wedding fayre, and it was a three tier cake – one carrot cake with lemon mouse filling, one chocolate cake with orange contreaue filling and one tier traditional fruit cake!

The amazing campervan Kim arrived at the church in was ‘Tilly’ from Love Dup cars – and I’m not surprised that everyone loved her!

Just had to include this gorgeous picture! So cute!

Entertainment was provided in the form of a jazz pianist, then Kim’s mum and stepdad’s folk band (who got the guests involved in a percussion set – super cool!), the Dj FatSound Disco and later on a band called ‘The Frantic Sound Collective’ who Kim said were amazing “They even got Chris and Jonathon up for a sing-off”

What an amazing wedding and I am in no way surprised that Kim has gone on to set up her own wedding and event planning business – check it out at:

Thanks for letting me feature your gorgeous wedding Kim, wishing you and Chris love and luck 🙂
